Addons Guide

You like vanilla TESO, but think, there is a lack of some functionality.

Then you could try some add-ons, which can improve quality of gameplay and make a little easier inventory management, searching for treasures and other things.

You don’t know how to manually install add-ons? That is not a problem, because we have great add-ons manager – Minion, which can be found here – https://www.minion.gg/ this manager helps to find, install, update and backup add-ons data.

When you install Minion, it is asking to choose yours ESO add-ons folder, usually it’s in C:\Users\username\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns, but sometimes just in game folder.

After that, you can start installing add-ons. Better to do this when you’re not logged to TESO.

  • Advanced Filters is a Must have add-on for all players, ‘cause it really helps to find anything in your inventory and bank. Do you know this feeling: where are those guts in my bag?! You won’t have it anymore.

  • Craft Bag Extended – this one is mostly for ESO+ subscribers, ‘cause it allows to trade things directly from you unlimited Craft Bag, without having to get items from it first.
  • AwesomeGuildStore – another great add-on, for searching in guild stores. Even if you don’t like trading, sometimes you need to buy something cool for youself, but lack of options at guildstores confuses you? Then this add-on is for you.

  • Dustman – good add-on, but must be used with caution and precise configuration. It helps to free some space in your bag by marking chosen items as junk automatically. In addition, you can set an option to destroy junk automatically, which helps a lot while farming mobs, resources, chest or urns.
  • Inventory Insight – shows what you have at your other characters, home storages etc. Useful for guys, who use multi-chars as extended inventory.

Trader addons:

  • Master Merchant – must have addon for a trader, ‘cause it shows statistics of sales, price change chart, and average price of items. But it’s more for statistics, not actual prices.
  • Tamriel Trade Center – shows prices at server, also it can scan guild trader listings to place listed items at https://eu.tamrieltradecentre.com/ site. Scan helps a lot if guild trader isn’t at Major City.

That’s all about inventory management, now let’s go to character, builds and combat add-ons.

  • AlphaGear 2 – this addon helps a lot, if you like to play not one role, but change often between dd, tank or heal. It allows you to save many build variations with changing your gear and skills placed at your skill bars.
  • Alpha Gear Addon
  • Combat Metrics – shows you DPS, HPS and detailed statistics of fights. This is mostly for upgrading your build, understanding which skills work better and which are useless. Not for talking everyone – HEY! I have a 50k DPS! 😀 In most cases, good DPS in real fight is 20-30k, depends on party members and buffs. Higher DPS can be shown in demonstrative dummy fights with over buffed people, who use expensive potions for spell(weapon) damage and crits.
  • Srendarr – Aura, Buff & Debuff Tracker. Very useful addon, but a little bit hard to config.
  • Lui Extended – another complicated addon, which adds many functions, like Buff & Debuff Tracking (but in this way Srendarr is better), Chat Announcements, Combat Text.
  • Harven’s Extended Stats – just more detailed character stats in character stats window. Helpful.
  • Harven’s Improved Skills Window – a little more detailed skills window, where you’ll see benefits of next lvl of skills and morphs.

Now let’s go to useful crafting addons:

  • Crafting Writ Assistant – this addon displays the current crafting writ you have in your quest journal when you use that particular crafting station, to help you with daily writs.
  • Dolgubon’s Lazy Writ Crafter – and this one is for fully automatic crafting of writs. But it needs to be configured.
  • Furniture Catalogue – one day you’ll start furnishing your house or just make furnishing for sales, this helps a lot with tons of furnishing in TESO.
  • ItemPreview – and this one adds preview function to recipes and different furnishing
  • MultiCraft – simple, but helpful addon, which gives you an ability to craft not just 1 by 1, but any amount of potions, food and items.
  • Potion Maker – great assistant for Alchemy. Just select what you want, push the button and it shows what you need.
  • Tinydog’s Crafting Calculator – this one is needed if you craft gear on demand, to say how much resources or gold it will cost.
  • TraitBuddy – shows researches time left, which traits are already researched, motifs you already know and locations, where they can be found.  
  • WritWorthy – got a Master Writ, but don’t know about needed traits and motifs? No problem, this addon shows this, also it shows price per voucher for Master Writs.

And now time for addons, which can destroy Exploration part of TESO, so not recommended to new players and those, who like exploration on their own:

  • Destinations – this one shows additional pins on map, like unfinished quests and achievements, vampires and werewolves’ shrines etc, many options added to map filters.
  • EasyTravel – helps to travel to any location of Tamriel…if there is at least one of your friends or guildmates.
  • LoreBooks – shows lorebooks of magesguild at map.
  • Lost Treasure – shows locations of treasure maps and surveys.
  • SkyShards – shows locations of SkyShards.
  • HarvestMap – displays harvest nodes, chest, fishing places and other things, also shows 3D pins for them. FPS hungry addon, but best if you’re farming resources.

Misc helpful addons:

  • Port to Friend’s House – you friends have more than one house, but you can travel only to main residence? Not a problem with this addon. It allows you to visit any house of any friend, or not friend, just guildmate, or anyone in Tamriel. ‘Cause we like to look at other guys’ houses.
  • Wykkyd Mailbox – small upgrade to Tamriel mail service, adds Reply button.
  • Votan’s Fisherman – helps with fishing, “Reel In” notifications, logs caught fish.
  • Votan’s Fish Fillet – after a good fishing you need to fillet all those tons of fish. With this addon it’s just one ring to rule them all  button to fillet them all.
  • RuESO Chat – Better Cyrillic Fonts – This one is must have addon even if you’re not a Russian guy. Cause it fixes ugly cyrillic fonts in TESO.
